We want you to love gardening with Self Sufficient Me! If something isn’t quite right with your order, we’re here to help. Our goal is to ensure your experience is seamless and satisfying—even when things don’t go as planned.
Please note that this policy applies specifically to Australian customers. Due to Australia-specific shipping logistics, there are a few important differences from our U.S. policy.
Returns Eligibility
You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, unassembled, and in their original packaging and in resellable condition.
- Proof of purchase is required.
- Return requests must be authorized by our Customer Experience Team before processing.
To initiate a return, please contact us at sales@selfsufficientme.com. Please provide us with your order number and a brief explanation.
Return Shipping for Australian Customers
Self Sufficient Me is happy to support our Australian growers! There are details worth noting regarding our return shipping policies:
- If Self Sufficient Me is responsible (e.g., wrong item shipped, damaged in transit), we will cover all return shipping costs.

If the return is for any other reason, such as a change of mind or incorrect order placed by the customer:
- You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Items weighing under 22kg will be returned via Australia Post.
- Items over 22 kg will be returned via third party carriers for which you may be responsible to arrange.
- In the event that Self Sufficient Me arranges the return process for you the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Refund Process
- Once we receive your returned item(s), we will inspect them and process your refund within 5–7 business days after we confirm the return meets our criteria.
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
- Please allow up to 10 business days for refunded amounts to apply to your payment method.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Gift cards
- Customized or special-order items
- Items marked as "final sale"
Damaged or Defective Products
If your product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Please provide your order number, photos of the damage, and a short description to our Customer Service team through email: sales@selfsufficientme.com.
